March has definitely entered “like a lion” here in North Carolina, with a winter storm warning for the Fayetteville, Clayton, and Raleigh Parts of NC! The saying that “March comes in like a lion and leaves like a lamb” acknowledges that when the month begins it is still winter, and by the time it ends (specifically, after March 20th) it is spring.
However, this proverb is often phrased the other way around, and that’s because you never quite know what is going to happen in March. (MARCH MADNESS! That’s the better proverb.) This has been a strange few month of weather, with feeling like its been raining since June of 2018, then turn to powerful and warm sunshine—oh and and then a cold snap might follow the next week.
The Readiness Is What Its About!
You don’t have to let the mood swings of March and a parade of lambs and lions make this time of the year difficult in your home. Proper HVAC maintenance services this month not only help maintain comfort, but they also prepare your air conditioning for the coming summer and help the heating system close out the season on a strong note.
Here’s our advice for HVAC services at this time of year.
It’s time for air conditioning maintenance
Even if it’s still cold outside, March is an excellent time for scheduling annual AC maintenance in Raleigh, Clayton, and the surrounding areas. Spring maintenance is essential to ensure that an air conditioner will work in top condition during the coming hot weather and won’t unnecessarily drain power. Maintenance has a long term benefit as well: the air conditioner should enjoy a lengthy service life.
Our maintenance program is designed to help your entire HVAC system throughout the year. Along with maintenance for your heater and AC, you’ll receive benefits like priority scheduling and service discounts. Our staff will be glad to go over the details with you.
Stay on top of HVAC repairs
You take a big risk when you let heating malfunctions go without furnace repairs at any time of the year. But in March, the risk is higher—because you’re more likely to ignore the malfunctions outright due to the approach of warmer weather.
No matter what warning signs you see from your furnace, heat pump, or other heating system, we advise you to reach out to one of our technicians when possible. If you allow the problem to persist, it will worsen into a more expensive repair and might cripple the system completely. A malfunctioning heater can also become dangerous.
Consider a new air conditioning installation
Take a moment to think about the age of your home’s AC and if it’s shown signs that it’s wearing down. If it’s over 15 years old and isn’t working as well as it once did, take advantage of this month and arrange to have a new system installed. During maintenance, one of our technicians can assist you with making the choice about a replacement. If you do need a new air conditioner, you can trust our team to find the best system to install and have the work done fast and correctly.
